nutrition program manager is responsible for managing processes and
personnel of Options for Learnings Nutrition Program. What youll be
doing - Supervising, evaluating, and training Nutrition Program
staff - Utilizing competitive bid process to select vendors; -
Purchasing food and food service items from approved vendors; -
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Nutrition Program regulations;
- Assisting education and support service staff in nutrition
education for children and parents; - Conducting periodic
assessments of the nutrition program, assisting auditors and
assisting program reviewers; - Developing and evaluating cost
effective and nutritional meals; - Overseeing the system for
providing alternative meals for children with allergies and other
dietary restrictions; - Collaborating with enrollment and
educations teams to track enrollment status and site operations; -
Overseeing and tracking key staff attendance of required CACFP
annual training; - Representing the organization at assigned
meetings; - Assisting nutrition program director as needed; -
Accurately completing all assigned paperwork and documentation on a
timely basis, according to organization policies and procedures; -
Developing and maintaining transport records for all meals
delivered to sites utilizing meal pattern requirements; - Actively
participating in the annual in-service training; - Abide by all of
Options for Learnings policies and procedures; - Complete other
duties as assigned. What you bring to the table - Bachelors degree
in nutritional science, dietetics or a related field - Ability to
work well with people, and a particular sensitivity to the needs of
children and families; - Three years of experience in Child and
Adult Care Food Program, including implementation of menu
preparation and alternative meal requests; - Demonstrated knowledge
in preparing special meals in a childcare setting; - Computer
skills, including word processing and spreadsheets; - Good
organizational skills; - Ability to correctly and effectively
communicate in written and oral English; - Master's degree in
nutritional science, dietetics or a related field (preferred); - A
California driver's license, daily use of an automobile, and
automobile liability insurance (preferred); - Command of Spanish,
Cantonese, Mandarin or Vietnamese (preferred); What we can offer

Exempt, Full-time, year-round position; - Eight-hour workday,
four-day workweek; - Hybrid work schedule with approval by

weekend work may be required; - Employment, responsibilities,
compensation and other factors may be affected by changes in
governmental regulations, the organizations contracts, or at the
organizations discretion. Salary - $63,000 - $85,000 per year
(candidates should anticipate receiving an offer within the first
