Staffing is seeking a skilled Wound Care Nurse for a 13 week travel
assignment in Los Angeles, California. As a member of our team,

Qualifications: One year of recent experience as a Wound Care nurse
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS
certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications: Other
certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary: The Wound Care Nurse is a specialized healthcare
professional responsible for assessing, managing, and treating
patients with acute and chronic wounds. This role involves
developing individualized care plans, providing wound care
treatments, educating patients and families, and collaborating with
multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing and prevent
complications. Essential Work Functions: Perform comprehensive
assessments of patients' wounds, including measuring wound
dimensions, assessing tissue type, and evaluating signs of
infection or delayed healing Create and execute individualized
treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic wounds,
pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, and other
conditions Provide education to patients and their families on
wound prevention, proper wound care techniques, and strategies to
promote healing Administer wound care treatments, including
debridement, dressing changes, negative pressure wound therapy
(NPWT), and application of advanced wound products Collaborate with
the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure wound care aligns
with overall treatment goals Provide wound care in a variety of
environments, including hospitals, outpatient wound care clinics,
long-term care facilities, home health settings, and rehabilitation
centers, adapting care to the unique needs of each setting and
patient population Accurately document wound assessments,
treatments, progress, and patient education in the patient medical
record Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of
practice Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control
guidelines, and regulatory standards Required Essential Skills:
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal
communication skills The ability to read, write, & communicate in
the English language is required Ability to read/comprehend written
instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC
skills Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move
about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of
personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive
attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to
grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about
when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact
with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under
pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be
able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and
continuous concentration to detail Sensory - Visual acuity, ability
