Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Flight Test Data Processing Engineer. In this role, you will design, build, integrate, and operate systems for the real-time display of aircraft data as well as post-test processing of recorded data to create data products. You will assist with diagnosing and resolving problems that arise from the collection and processing of data. You will actively work to expand your knowledge of the discipline and of specific tasking. The candidate must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and be able to work independently. You must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and rotations in support of mission goals. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Data Science, Data Mining, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. • Experience with software development or scripting. • Secret Clearance required to start. Desired skills • Desire to learn new skills. • Experience with data processing. • Experience with telemetry. • Experience with TSPI (Time Space Position Information). • Understanding of IRIG 106 standard. • Experience with data acquisition systems. • Experience with Curtiss-Wright IADS (Interactive Analysis and Display System). • Experience with communication protocols, specifically Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Fiber Channel, IEEE-1394, CAIS Bus (Common Airborne Instrumentation System Bus), RS-485. • Aerospace experience. • Experience with server or computer workstation administration. • Experience with test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) • Troubleshooting experience. • Security certification. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment. • Proficient with Microsoft Office. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
