Associate in the Risk Advisory department is responsible for
providing risk advisory services to clients in the areas of
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, internal audit, enterprise risk
management, process improvement, and information technology
assessments. The Senior Associate in Risk Advisory will lead
engagements through planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases, and
work with their assigned engagement team to provide value-added
recommendations to clients. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises the day-to-day workload of Risk Advisory associates on
assigned engagements and performs an initial review of work product
and client deliverables. Ensures Risk Advisory associates are
trained on all relevant processes and procedures related to
engagements. Delivers performance feedback for Risk Advisory
associates. Acts as a mentor to Risk Advisory associates, as
appropriate. Duties/Responsibilities: Acts as a contact for all
clients regarding basic questions and information. Assist with
conducting interviews and scheduling meetings between management
and other stakeholders throughout the engagement process. Obtains
information from clients, to support the completion of analysis and
research of client issues. Facilitate client interviews and
meetings regarding processes, risks, and controls. Document and
analyzes the client’s processes, risk, and controls with guidance
and direction from senior Risk Advisory team members. Develops
initial client deliverables and testing workpapers. Reviews the
work of Risk Advisory Associate team members and provide initial
feedback for any additional work required. Provides status updates
on work performed, issues encountered, and hours spent on work to
Senior Risk Advisory team members. Performs initial analysis of
client processes, risks, and controls. Perform other related duties
and projects as assigned. Education and Experience: Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, or
Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or other
related field. 2-4 years of experience within a public accounting
firm or Fortune 1000 company performing internal audits,
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, operational audits, compliance,
enterprise risk management (including risk assessments), or
management consulting, required. Preferred: Certified Internal
Audit (“CIA”), Certified Information Systems Auditor (“CISA”),
Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”), Certified Fraud Examiner
(“CFE”), or other equivalent certifications, preferred. Required
Skills/Abilities: Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and
meet deadlines. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent
organizational and time management skills. Proficient with
Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Strong problem solving
and analytical skills. Strong professional service ethic, client
focused, and results driven. Physical Requirements: Prolonged
periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able
to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. Travel (up to 30%) to client
